The Challenge

Everyone draws, but very few young people ever show their work to the world under their own name. How could AFT's youth members hold their first real exhibition — not as a school assignment, but as artists?

02

Young Ideas

  • 1Look at the world through their own eyes and turn it into a painting — 'The Wonderful World of Me'.
  • 2Write their own artist statement and caption for every work.
  • 3Co-plan the exhibition and present their work to a live audience.

The Impact

For a week in July 2025, AFT's young members became artists for the first time. 21 young artists hung their own paintings, 6 young musicians played the opening concert, and the whole exhibition — 'Hyangwoljae' — was planned by four of the students themselves. A whole world, made and run by young hands.
